FB Recipe Tried - Crockpot Apple Oatmeal

My suggestions and comments are the ones in a different color.  This could be modified for sure with other fruit or additional items, like nuts, etc.
 
Want breakfast tomorrow without lifting a finger?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, SPRAY THE CROCKPOT WITH NON STICK AS THIS ALL BURNT TO THE BOTTOM AND SIDES OF MINE MAKING CLEAN UP A NIGHTMARE

 Place 2 sliced apples (WE USED 3 SMALL GALA APPLES) 
1/4 cup brown sugar (SINCE I KNOW MY FAMILY LIKES THINGS SWEETER, I UPPED THIS TO 1/2 CUP. AND THAT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH.  IT DIDN'T COME OUT SWEET ENOUGH AND EXTRA HAD TO BE ADDED)
1 tsp cinnamon, pinch salt in the bottom of the crock pot. (NEEDS MORE OF BOTH, LOTS MORE CINNAMON)
Pour in 2 cups of oatmeal,
2 cups of milk and 2 cups water. (THIS WAS WAY TO WATERY. SUGGEST ADDING 1 CUP LESS OF WATER AND AN EXTRA MILK, OR EVEN NO WATER AND CONDENSED MILK INSTEAD, WOULD ADD EXTRA SWEET)

 Do NOT stir. (HOWEVER, MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO STIR BEFORE SERVING)

 Cook overnight for 8 - 9 hours on low.
